Well some good news for Superman fans. It looks like "The Man of Steel" (The sequal to "Superman Returns") may be comming in 2009. According to my source at batman-on-film.com the movie may be getting "fast-tracked," if the new writers can come up with something that the studio will like.
Now remember that the original screen writers that wrote "Superman Returns" (Michael Dougherty, and Dan Harris) droped out and then rumors that director Bryan Singer wasn't going to direct it surfaced. However, batman-on-film.com confirmed that Bryan Singer is still set to be the director for "The Man of Steel."
So, let's hope that everything falls into place so that we can see Superman back on the big screen.
